Are you too on a quest for the perfect lip balm?
I've been searching for years, and the newest worthy competitor is totally old school: Carmex. Yep, the kind you find displayed on the drugstore counter, the one with the garish yellow packaging, the lip balm with the words "FOR-COLD-SORES" stamped in bold letters across the lid. [read more...]
I ask for tips from people who seem like they would have the inside track on the good lip balms, and a top aesthetician recently recommended Carmex. And you know what? It's pretty good. It lasts a decent amount of time, isn't sticky or greasy, and is inexpensive enough that you can buy one for every bag you own.
The only real downside, as far as I'm concerned, is that it tastes a little bit like dirt. But if you don't lick your lips right away or inhale while you're putting it on, you're golden.
